Job Purpose:
  • This position takes care of the administration and engineering of the data network within the company;
  • This position has the responsibility of network design and implementation, configuration of network facilities such as router and firewall;
  • This position takes the responsibility of defining the mechanism for the Operation Team to monitor the data network included monitoring and troubleshooting. He/she also takes care the backup and restoration operation;
  • This position shall also take care the utilization and capacity planning of all kind of connectivity internally and externally;
  • Maintaining the library of documents and diagrams for the network design, configuration parameters, and operation guide.
Responsibilities:
1. Design And Implementation:
  • Design the data network up to the international standard achieving proper protection of intrusion, high availability and performance required for the business operation. 
  • Document the design with the detail of system parameters, diagram, protection mechanism, and equipment inventory.
  • Implement the design in professional manner. 
2. Operation Support:
  • Determine/define the mechanism for the monitoring of the performance & exceptions of the data network. 
  • Determine/define the mechanism on detecting any issues happening in the facilities in the data network.
  • Rectify the issues immediately if happening. 
  • Perform system cleansing ensuring the health working environment for the data network. System Cleansing includes log archiving and purging, disk management, etc. 
  • Perform system backup of the facilities in the data network. Determine the effectiveness of the restoration for the corresponding facilities by the backup data. 
  • Define/design the operation reports required to summaries the status of the data network for management. This shall include the utilization vs capacity, rate of availability, issues, etc.
3. Utilization And Capacity Planning
  • Determine and monitor the capacity and utilization of facilities as well as internal and external connectivity.
  • Determine the upgrade path for over utilized facilities and connectivity.
4. Documentation & Version Control
  • Document the detail design of the data network as well as its historical changes becoming part of the IT Architecture Dossier.
  • Prepare the documents keep the latest and historical information of the facilities within the data network becoming part of the inventory control of the department.
  • Maintain the configuration document for each facility keeping the latest configuration parameter, historical changes on parameters in each device, and the method of changing the parameter becoming part of the Configuration Control and Version Control within the department.
  • Prepare the operation guide for each facility as well as the entire data network. 
5. Performance & Risk Management
  • Ensure the data network operating and recovery within the agreed SLA.
  • Determine the risks in data network.  
  • Find the resolution to rectify the risks.
Qualifications:
  • University degree in IT, Computer Mathematics or related subjects
  • Certificate on network equipment administration included router, switches, firewall, etc
Work experience:
  1. Minimum 5 years network administrative experience.
  2. A solid understanding of an network technologies, OSI network model, TCP/IP, IPv6, IP address management, DNS, DHCP, layer 2 switching (VLAN, VTP, intervlan routing), layer 3 routing (OSPF, BGP, routing protocols versus routed protocols), WAN optimization, ability to use performance analysis to tune systems.
  3. A solid understanding of network security technologies, firewalls, layer 7 and application firewalls, IPSec, VPN.
  4. A expertise in networking/distributed computing environment concepts, including principles of routing, bridging and switching, voice over IP, voice systems and services, security principles.
  5. Solid knowledge and experience with Cisco, checkpoint technologies.
  6. Experience with MPLS design and configuration.
  7. Experience on finance system and securities trading system is an advantage.
  8. Experience identifying, analyzing and managing risks on large, complex data network.
  9. Experience using and mentoring on the use of MS Project and MS Project.
  10. Knowledge on the operation of securities trading business is an advantage.
Skills required:
  1. Good presentation, written and verbal communication skill.

  3. Ability to work independently, under pressure and large,
  4. Good at reading technical documents in English, basic communication
