Summary:

The Research Manager is responsible for identifying and evaluating investment opportunities in assigned industries, conducting detailed analysis and valuation reports, and providing recommendations to the Head of Research. The Research Manager also supports the Business Development team in capital raising activities and maintains relationships with existing and potential clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify investment opportunities (listed/unlisted) in assigned industries to meet the investment requirements of the managed Funds/portfolios.
  • Conduct detailed analysis, valuation, and recommendation reports for companies in assigned industries or as requested by the Head of Research to meet the quality input requirements of the managed Funds/portfolios.
  • Prepare periodic/ad hoc update reports on the industry/company in the assigned sectors or as requested by the Head of Research to provide complete, accurate, and timely information on industry and company developments, in order to provide timely investment/divestment ideas/decisions.
  • Support the Head of Research and the Head of Business Development in marketing and fundraising activities for the Company.
  • Maintain relationships with existing and potential clients and handle any requests and situations arising from clients.
  • Assist the Head of Research in providing professional guidance to analysts/senior analysts in the department.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
     

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Auditing, or Banking
  • CFA or ACCA certification is a plus
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in the Vietnamese and/or international securities market. Preference will be given to candidates with equivalent experience at other market participants
  • In-depth understanding of the Vietnamese securities market
  • Analytical and valuation modeling skills
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as information gathering skills
  • Management, teamwork, and independent work skills
  • Professional work attitude and strong discipline
  • Professional ethics and compliance with laws and company regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and results-oriented
  • Ability to present in Vietnamese and English
  • Proficient in office computing
